After a data outage that began — according to many — “from lunchtime”, Singtel has finally resolved the problem that angered many Singaporeans.
This is Singtel’s biggest outage since their redesign, during which they promised better customer experiences to everyone. This promise was made in response to a growing number of angry customers who have provided feedback about Singtel’s patchy coverage and poor customer service.
“Customers tell us that it is the everyday things going wrong that really annoys them,” said Singtel Group CEO Ms Chua Sock Koong at the Singtel redesign launch. “Customers want things simpler, faster, and delivered by people and companies that truly care and listen to them.”
According to Singtel’s regular Twitter updates, most of the problems should be resolved by now, and they’re advising all users to restart their devices to regain data access.
Singaporeans quickly took to social media to vent their frustrations.
Singtel data service is like Jia Jia & Kai Kai making out. Trying hard to come for 40 minutes but leaving frustrated.

It seems that Singtel users’ trust in the service provider has definitely been shaken today. No news yet on what caused the outage, but at least Singaporeans are safely back on the Internet, where they feel most comfortable.
