To keep the flow of revolutionary ideas, interesting thoughts and engaging conversation ongoing, TEDxKL is back with a bigger bang along with a theme entitled Infinity And Beyond.
TEDxKL (the x represents independently organized TED events) is the platform where limitless possibilities are pondered upon and their lineup of speakers tend to include local personalities, budding up comers along with internationally acclaimed scientists.
All of the speakers at TEDxKL events tend to be trailblazers in their respective fields and they continue to make the world around them a better place through their talent, genius, passion, or with a copious amount of hard work.
This year is no different.
TEDxKL 2015 will be featuring notable personalities that include the multi-faceted entrepreneur Afdlin Shauki, an actor, director and a comedian; the musician Sam Triggy; a culturally diverse music group called AkashA; along with established eye surgeon Dr. Kenneth Fong; CEO of PEMANDU Dato’ Sri Idris Jala; and many more.
Currently the full lineup of speakers are still in the process of being compiled on their page, but if past speakers of TEDxKL have proven anything, you definitely will not be disappointed.
Here are some individuals who are already listed as a TEDxKL speaker for 2015.
Afdlin Shauki is most well known for his comedic talents and his onscreen persona as a director and presenter but he’s also a budding entrepreneur and an activist. He recently began a mission to help refugees of Syria in Jordan and his goal is to raise USD100,000 to help them.

AkashA is an eclectic six-piece World Fusion Music band that’s internationally acclaimed and it incorporates Malaysian sound along with the sounds from African, Celtic, Chinese, Cuban jazz, Latin beats and more. They’ve performed at the Philharmonic Orchestra’s Dewan Philharmonic Petronas; and they’ve represented Malaysia at various international music festivals such as the Rainforest World Music Festival, Swan and Lights Festival, International Blues and World Music Festival, among others.
