Just an hour ago, the Facebook page of Police Diraja Malaysia was defaced by unidentified attackers. Hackers first changed the cover picture to a banner with the word Khilafah written on it. Khilafah is the political system in Islam which responsible for implementing the Islamic system (be it social, economic, educational, foreign policy, etc) and maintaining its implementation.
Then the hacker changed the profile picture.
Next they uploaded a picture of soldiers with their faces covered.
Judging from the picture, captioned “Viva Islamic State”, some Facebook users mentioned that the messages are seemingly addressed by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS). However what’s more eerie is this post below that is directed to Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
The hackers don’t seem to be very friendly, based on their reply to Facebook user Low Meng Kuan.
Kuffar is usually used as a derogatory Arabic term used to refer to non-Muslims. It is an Arabic word that has a literal meaning of ‘ingrate’ or ‘infidel’ and is commonly used to insult unbelievers or apostates of Islam.
They did however assure netizens that they will eventually return the Facebook page to PDRM. How thoughtful.
