Just about an hour ago, Malaysian DOTA 2 representative, Fnatic Dota has been eliminated from The International DOTA 2 (TI 5) Championship. The guys fought a good fight, but unfortunately they will not make it to the next round.

However, DOTA fans still have a reason to rejoice because the event team, MET has partnered with TGV Cinemas to broadcast the Main Event of TI 5 in its 1 Utama branch on August 9, 2015. So this is your next best option if you don’t have Astro at your home.

The response from the public has been overwhelming. “In fact, two halls which were allocated for the screening were sold out barely after 30 minutes tickets were made available for sale! Seeing the demand, we are now opening two additional halls with a total of 289 seats for this exclusive screening,” said TGV Cinemas’ Senior Marketing Manager, Celeste Koay.

The tickets are priced at RM25 per entry, inclusive of a bottle of mineral water. Ticket holders are allow to have unlimited entry from 1am to 8am and there will also be giveaways held throughout the broadcast (movie passes, TGV Cinemas MovieClub memberships, and more).

Don’t worry if you’re hungry because the snacks counter will be operating throughout the night to ensure you have power and energy to stay active throughout the tournament, and of course the ‘no outside food’ rule still applies.

This isn’t the first stunt from TGV Cinemas that has got everyone talking. “Last year, we screened the World Cup FIFA 2014 and customers thoroughly enjoyed themselves! We look forward to more opportunities to bring in alternative content to enhance and redefine the cinema experience for our customers,” Koay elaborated.

If you want to get your hands on a ticket, quickly head to TGV Cinemas’ official website or their mobile app. If you’re in 1 Utama, you can get a ticket directly from their sales counter.
