It’s a current running joke that the Chinese were busy with the Bersih 4.0 rally and the Malays were occupied with their Red Shirt Rally; however, the Indians didn’t have anything that they could call their own. Given the situation at hand, we had one person take up the responsibility to make something happen.

Umapagan Ampkaipakan, a producer/presenter from BFM 89.9 took up the responsibility of organising a gathering primarily for the Indians. He recently took to Twitter to lay out his plans for an all-Indian rally, appropriately hashtagged as #HimpunanMaruahIndia.

Now before anyone gets upset, angry or disappointed (we all know how sensitive Malaysians can be sometimes), you should know these tweets are satirical and purely for fun!

I guess purple is a sensible fashion statement for the rally, after all, red and yellow is already taken.

Ah, diversity!

Guess we’ll have to wait for an official date from the government.

This is going to be the most self-sufficient rally of all time.

Worried about entertainment? Don’t worry, Umapagan has it covered.

Well that was quite expected.

You can check out the rest of his hilarious tweets here. While the rally may never really happen, one thing is for sure, Umapagan has just found himself a new twitter follower.
