Just in time for the holiday season, booking app HotelQuickly this week unveiled a new, seven-day calendar feature for mobile users in more than 250 Asia-Pacific destinations.
HotelQuickly has made a name for itself by allowing last-minute hotel bookings in Asia-Pacific to be made via mobile since its launch two years ago. Now, it’s expanding its 48-hour timeframe to a wider booking window in response to customer requests. Travellers in 15 countries will be able to use the app to score exclusive deals on rooms up to seven days before check-in. This move is aimed at offering users greater freedom in their travels, HotelQuickly executives said.
“Since the start of HotelQuickly we’ve made it a point to listen closely to our customers’ needs and navigate in line with those,” said Tomas Laboutka, HotelQuickly Co-founder and CEO. “Many of our members love the discounts and ease-of-use the app offers, and they want to use HotelQuickly for more than same- and next-day bookings. The week-long calendar gives users more opportunities for spontaneous travel, which is our main goal at HotelQuickly.”
The booking app has received more than 1.5 million downloads from travellers looking for an easy solution to last-minute booking concerns since 2013. Upon opening the app, users are shown a list of the day’s best deals at curated three- to five-star properties at their destinations. HotelQuickly is drawing fans not only from the pool of tech-savvy millennials looking for affordable getaways, but also from hotel managers, who see the app as a platform to move room inventory which may otherwise go untouched.
Laboutka said the new seven-day calendar is just one in a series of features HotelQuickly is set to debut over the next few months. “We’re working constantly to make HotelQuickly the smoothest, smartest booking tool out there,” he added. “There are some exciting projects in the pipeline that are going to make booking with HotelQuickly more appealing than ever.”
HotelQuickly’s seven-day booking calendar is now open for all users in all destinations. The app is free to download on Android and iPhone devices, as well as the AppleWatch, and is available in nine languages.
