The mobile on-demand industry has open more opportunities for many traditional service providers to adopt the business model into their business. There is been a growing clique of startup companies that are jumping onto the “Uber for X” wave, particularly in the laundry service scene.

These laundry on-demand service startups basically provides users with the benefit of cleaning their dirty clothes without the hassle of travelling to the laundromat or doing it themselves.

All you need to do is a few taps on your mobile phone, then they will arrive you at your doorstep, collect and clean your laundry, and then return it to you within a certain time period. Here are a few on-demand laundry services that can help you get your clothes cleaned.

1. Fresh Press

Fresh Press is one of the latest on-demand laundry and dry cleaning pickup services in KL. They operate 7 days a week from 7 am to 10pm. Besides visiting their website, you can also give them a phone call or drop them a text request to place an order. Then their valet will come to your doorstep to collect your laundry from you as scheduled.

Fresh Press ensures that your laundry are cleaned and returned in a brief period of 24 hours. For wash and fold services, they charge RM3.50 per kg. As for wash and press, they charge per item.

2. LaundryDone

As its name suggests, LaundryDone aims to help you do exactly that—to get your laundry done. To enjoy the convenience of having your laundry cleaned, make your request over a phone call or SMS.  After sorting out your laundry, the driver will return to your doorstep in the next 48 hours and deliver your fresh clothes. Users can choose to do the payment either by credit card on their platform itself or via cash on delivery (COD).

The wash and fold services cost RM5 per kg for clothes whereas the wash and iron services cost RM6 per item. Currently the team is serving Mont Kiara, Desa Sri Hartamas, and Damansara Heights, TTDI, and Bangsar.

3. MamaWosh

Unlike others laundry services, MamaWosh only serves certain condominiums in the Mont Kiara and Damansara Area. If you happen to be living in their listed condomimiums, you can request for a pickup on their website, or give them a call to get your laundry picked up and washed.

In terms of pricing, they charged RM20 for everyday laundry including wash and fold services. As for special care garments, they have different charges depending on the item.

4. Dobybox

Using an Internet gateaway, Dobybox provide 24-hour laundry service to the public via lockers and a mobile app. The lockers are located in MaGIC Cyberjaya, targeting working professionals.

Users can drop off their laundry by simply placing it in the locker and using their mobile app to set instructions like dry cleaning, ironing, and more. After making the payment, the crew from Dobybox will pick up the laundry and return it back to the locker after being cleaned.

5. EASYWASH

EASYWASH is another on-demand web-based laundry service that provides laundry, ironing and dry cleaning pickup and delivery services.

Their service is very convenient because they operate 24/7 from Monday to Sunday as well as proving 30-minute booking slots. In terms of pricing, EASYWASH does not charge delivery fees and there is no minimum order. The wash and fold services cost RM4 per kg and RM2 per shirt for ironing.

6. heylaundry

heylaundry is an on-demand laundry pickup and delivery service that is currently operating in SS2 and Kelana Jaya. They charge RM6 per piece for washing and ironing (minimum 5 pieces) and for 15 pieces and above, they charge RM5 per piece. For washing and folding, it is RM6 per kg for a minimum load of 4kg.

heylaundry is also working on servicing offices so that working professionals can get their laundry done without worrying about it during office hours.
