With that being said, these 10 companies in Malaysia are still actively hiring and it might just be the ship you’d like to jump to next.

IKEA is currently looking for a range of positions to fill, across a field of specialties, inclusive of finance, logistics and customer relations. They are looking to hire a head of human resources, a goods flow manager, and an assistant maintenance manager, amongst other jobs. Mah Sing is a real estate developer and the manufacturer of plastic products in Malaysia. They’ve won several awards and have been recognised as one of the top developers in Malaysia. They are looking to fill the positions of executives in accounts, marketing and sales, and positions of managers in fields of sales admin, credit admin and retail leasing.

Mah Sing also bears corporate social responsibility through the Mah Sing foundation, a CSR effort by the group, and it is a collaborative effort between entity and film in order to raise funds for notable causes, inclusive of financial assistance and relief schemes for the poor. For example, local hit movie The Kid From The Big Apple was backed by Mah Sing group and the profits earned from the movie will be channeled to the Mah Sing Foundation.

Piktochart is an infographic design app that allows users to produce pretty, high quality graphics. At Piktochart, they embrace freedom and democracy and will allow their staff to have flexibility and ownership in their role.

6. Astro

Astro is a content and consumer group which focuses on the aspects of entertainment, inclusive of watching, listening, reading and shopping. They are currently looking to fill the positions of an associate in TV advertisement sales, an associate in general ledger, and a senior associate in analytics reporting and insights, amongst other positions.

Astro stated on their JobStreet page that they practice a vibrant and energetic office culture and they also provide career advancements within the company. They also have a host of CSR projects under their belt inclusive of the “Longest Underwater Clean Up” project in 2012 and 2013, which is in line with promoting a Beautiful Malaysia.

7. CIMB

CIMB is a retail banking company is Malaysia and they are actively looking to fill the positions of a team sales manager, an SME relationship manager and a manager in deposits product management, amongst other positions.

CIMB values the ones who choose to join their company and they do so by having programmes such as CIMB Fusion, a programme which sees CIMB partnering with 6 other industries to present fresh graduates across a series of disciplines such as law and business, in order to give the graduates a taste of what it’s like to be working within that company.

For employees of CIMB, they could take part in The Complete Banker Program which is 2 months of intense training, followed by 10 months on-the-job training in several business units.

8. Nestlé

Nestlé is one of the pioneers in the F&B industry and are well-known for their range of products. They are also the largest Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company in Malaysia. Nestlé is looking to hire a production executive, an electrical and automation engineer, and a sales manager in modern and general trade, amongst other available positions.

Nestlé proudly states on their site that more than 30% of their Executive Board Members started out as Nestlé graduates. The company places emphasis on individual responsibility, opportunity and autonomy, and these are the quality factors of an employee-to-be of theirs.

9. Sime Darby

Sime Darby is a conglomerate in the industries of industrial, property, plantations, motors and energy & utilities. They are looking to hire in the positions of an engineer in the sales division, an executive finance, and a parts supervisor, amongst other available positions.

Sime Darby provides training for their employees-to-be and current employees with graduate and scholarship programs as well as management trainee programs. On their site, they stated that they are a proud employee for over 130,000 employees, and that being said, they are a big entity and good option to start a career at.

10. Accenture

Accenture is a management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company. They are actively looking to hire in the positions of a (sourcing) reporting analyst, a (sourcing) quality assurance analyst and a (sourcing) team lead, amongst other available positions.
