Aunties Of Singapore Rejoice: Watsons Takes On The Online Shopping Arena With Lazada Partnership

Ever find it a pain when you’re shopping online for clothes, but realise that you need daily products (for example, shampoo and conditioner), but couldn’t get it on the site you’re at?

Well, fret no more! With the latest collaboration between Lazada and Watsons, all our shopping needs can be met at one-stop and in a few clicks.

Lazada Singapore and Watsons have officially announced their collaboration on 10 October 2016.

The partnership would include over 500 of Watson’s beauty and health essentials on Lazada’s website, as stated in their press release.

Lazada Singapore, formed in 2012, is Southeast Asia’s number one online shopping platform that features a wide range of products from electronics and household goods, to fashion apparel and sports equipment

Watsons on the other hand is Singapore’s leading beauty and health retailer with over 100 stores situated around the country.

Increase In Basket Sizes

General Manager of Watsons Singapore, Dominic Wong explains that the aim of the health and beauty retailer is to provide the best shopping experience for their customers, both in physical stores and online.

“The partnership with Lazada is a timely extension to our digital strategy in the region. We aim to provide new retail touchpoints to our customers so that they can choose to shop and enjoy the products that we offer in the luxury of their own homes,” he says.

More than 500 beauty and health essentials, curated by Watsons, are now available within “Health & Beauty”, Lazada Singapore’s fastest growing category.

The products are also housed under the ‘Haul of Essentials’ on the website, and is aimed at offering shoppers lower priced necessities from well-loved brands under Watsons.

Lazada Singapore’s CEO Alexis Lanternier also reveals that they’ve seen an increase in some of their shoppers’ basket sizes by tenfold ever since the launch with Watsons.

“We are proud to be the first online marketplace to partner with Watsons and are keen to ensure shoppers on Lazada are consistently offered the best brands, and are able to shop from retailers they are familiar with,” he says.

The alliance will not only ensure convenience, but affordability as Lazada is also debuting their new free delivery option with no minimum spending.
