Tinder is one of the more established key go-tos when it comes to meeting people. You probably have had it on your phone once or still actively use it to this day. Its very format gives the hope of limitless connections that might just be the start of something new.
Even your favourite celebrities and influencers might be on the app so don’t be too surprised if you catch their profile as you’re swiping through (be warned of those catfish users though!).
However, if you would like to increase your odds of meeting them, here’s a chance for you to be able to spend a full day doing an interesting activity with one out of 10 of the hottest Internet personalities in Malaysia.
This coming March 24, Grab is partnering with Tinder to give their riders a chance to hang out with a popular local influencer.
Meet The Influencers
So who are the influencers you’d potentially be able to spend a day with?
There’re 10 Malaysians who are part of this collaboration.
Here are a few examples.
Perhaps you’d be able to meet Mark O’Dea, an English TV presenter and YouTuber. He moved to Malaysia at the age of 21 where he joined the Malaysian-based boyband ‘The London Boys’ and began his YouTube career focusing on pranks, sketches, song covers and challenges (His ‘Oh My Bahasa Malaysia’ series are some of his most popular videos!).
Sarah Lian is also on the list. She’s a popular actress and TV personality who was cast in Cybergeddon, created by the director of hit crime drama, CSI. She has also been in international commercials for McDonalds, Standard Chartered and Adidas’ 2003 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Other personalities you might just stand a chance to meet also includes Jin Lim, Melissa Tan, Yvonne Lee, Venice Min, Peter Davis, Kit Mah, Dennis Yin and Jazel Lim.
Fun Activities Await
If you’re one of the chosen few, you’re getting an opportunity to chill for a day with an influencer doing a fun and interesting activity on March 26. Here are some examples of what might come your way.
Some of them include a more interactive experience such as visiting animal shelters which is perfect for the animal lovers out there. For the more artistic ones, one of the activities in the list is an art/painting class for you to unleash your creative side.
Fitness junkies or those who like a good workout could potentially spend a day with an influencer who is a fitness enthusiast. So you could enjoy working up a sweat, doing a good cardio workout or gym session while still having fun.
Those who enjoy their laidback Sundays with good food can hope to meet an influencer for a food trail adventure or even for just a simple coffee and cake treat at a nice café. There might be some nice hipster-esque locations along the way where you can take nice selfies with the influencer too.

To view their profiles, you can opt to download the Tinder app. After that, here’s how you can try your chance at meeting one of the personalities.
- Open your Grab app and tap on the Grab x Tinder icon between 9.00am–5.00pm on March 24 2017.
- Enter your pick up and drop off location.
- If you’re lucky, you’ll be sharing a ride with one of Grab-Tinder’s Top 10 personalities.
All rides will be filmed, and interesting moments will be captured on video. If you are chosen to go for the activities, that will also be filmed.
A few terms and conditions to highlight:
- Only ONE (1) booking per passenger is allowed for this campaign.
- Grab does not guarantee that your booking will be accepted as there are limited numbers of cars available for this campaign.
- Grab-Tinder personalities are assigned to these rides at random. Selection of Grab-Tinder personalities for your ride is not allowed and no requests or appeals will be entertained.
- Valid for all Grabcar users.
