In an increasingly globalised society, there are many skills children will need in order to be successful in the 21st century.
Education is more than simply just learning in the classrooms. There is a need for educators to cultivate students’ interest and curiosity in learning, as well as equip them with essential skills.
When children are excited about going to school and are passionate about their learning, they will excel and reach their full potential while becoming lifelong learners who are confident, knowledgeable and purpose driven.
Taylor’s International School (TIS) now opens a world of possibilities to Malaysian students who want to experience a global learning experience through its scholarship programme.
Parents who are considering different options for their child’s education pathways can take a look at what kind of scholarships TIS is offering for the 2019 intake. The scholarships will be awarded based on academic excellence and co-curricular performance.
TIS operates two well-equipped campuses—one in the centre of Kuala Lumpur city and another in the suburb of Puchong.
At TIS, students follow the British curriculum that culminates with the internationally recognised International General Certificate Secondary Education (IGCSE) qualification—this will allow students to transition into pre-university education a year earlier at 16 compared to those under the Malaysian National Curriculum at the age of 17.
Both campuses boast comprehensive sports, arts, and science facilities. Their combined educational experience has seen TIS students regularly receiving ‘Top in the World’ and ‘Top in Malaysia’ in the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards from Cambridge International Examinations (CIE).
Besides academic excellence, both schools have an emphasis on character building grounded in the best of Eastern and Western values with a strong foundation in English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia.
For the Kuala Lumpur campus, TIS is offering scholarships to those born in the years 2006 and 2007 and are eligible to enter Year 7 and Year 8 in 2019.
As for the Puchong campus, scholarships will be offered to students entering Years 6 to 10 in January 2019.
The scholarship runs for 2 years, subject to satisfactory review and renewal. The application fee is waived and the registration fee, tuition fees, and security deposit will depend on the
percentage of scholarship to be offered.
All the documents and relevant certificates need to be submitted by September 28.
