When we first wrote about the anticipated launch of the Huawei Mate 20 series, we had readers begging the Chinese tech giant to bring the Mate 20 X to other markets instead of making it exclusive for the China market.

Well, good news: Huawei announced today that it is launching the Huawei Mate 20 X and a range of new wearables in Singapore from November 22.

Due to popular demand from customers, Huawei has decided to add the supersized smartphone variant to the Mate 20 series line-up for Singapore.

“Sales of our Mate 20 series have been off the charts, and we are excited to bring in the new Huawei Mate 20 X that many of our customers have been asking for,” said Cheng Jiangfei, managing director of Huawei Consumer Business Group Singapore.

The Perfect Phone For Both Work And Play

Powered by Huawei’s new HiSilicon Kirin 980 processor, the 7.2-inch Huawei Mate 20 X comes with a 5,000 mAh battery, which supersedes the Mate 20 Pro’s 4,200 mAh battery capacity.

But despite its supersized OLED display, Huawei assures that the Huawei Mate 20 X can be comfortably used with a single hand.

Similar to the Huawei Mate 20 series, the Mate 20 X also features the new Leica triple camera setup.

Its 40MP main RGB lens helps to capture great details, while the 8MP telephoto lens focuses on distant shots. Meanwhile, the all-new Leica  Ultra Wide Angle Lens is perfect for landscape photos and macro shots.

The smartphone also promises to offer an immersive gaming and entertainment experience with its dual speakers, which support a dynamic range of up to 40 fb.

In addition, the Huawei Mate 20 X is also the first smartphone in the industry to use a multi-dimensional cooling system with Vapour Chamber and Graphene Film to support power-intensive games. It conducts heat away fast, keeping your device cool for a smooth gaming experience.

Beyond entertainment, the Mate 20 X also promises to be a great productivity phone that enhances mobile working.

It is the only Mate 20 variant that comes with the Huawei M-Pen, which can be used to take screenshots and activate split-screen mode on the phone.

If you’re keen to get your hands on this elite device, the Huawei Mate 20 X will be available at all Huawei concept stores, official online store, selected consumer electronic stores and local telecommunication operators from November 22.

It will only be made available at all local telecommunication operators from 8 December onwards.

The Huawei Mate 20 X comes in two colours — Midnight Blue and Phantom Silver — and will retail for $1,148.

Customers can also redeem a free gift set which includes the Huawei M-Pen and Smart View Flip Cover in Black (worth $126) exclusively at SITEX from 22 to 25 November with every purchase of the Huawei Mate 20 X, while stocks last.
