ONE Esports, the esports arm of ONE Championship, today (6 September) announced the two teams invited to the ONE Dota 2 Singapore World Pro Invitational.

The first two teams invited to compete for a share of the US$500,000 prize pool are Chinese powerhouse PSG.LGD and Major winners Team Secret.

These teams will be joined by 10 more this 20 to 22 December at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

PSG.LGD is one of the strongest Chinese Dota 2 teams, having placed sixth in the last Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) season.

They topped the Group Stage and delivered a strong Upper Bracket performance at The International 9 (TI9) this year, which took place on their home ground, finishing in third place.

Founded in 2014 and captained by veteran player Clement “Puppey” Ivanov, Team Secret has been consistently performing throughout the 2018-19 DPC season, scoring two Major wins.

The European favourites had made astounding comebacks after comebacks during the group stages and put up outstanding fights at the main stage at TI9, where they clinched fourth place.

Organized together with PGL, the ONE Dota 2 Singapore World Pro Invitational is the first event in ONE Esports Dota 2 World Pro Invitational series.

The next event, the ONE Dota 2 Jakarta World Pro Invitational, will take place 17 to 19 April 2020 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE BSD).

CEO of ONE Esports, Carlos Alimurung said they will announce more teams soon and look forward to “giving fans the best Dota 2 experience this December”.
