Last month, Google announced the launch of Google Play Pass, a game subscription service that is promising access to “hundreds of awesome games free of ads or hawked virtual wares” for US$4.99/month.

Then, I also wrote that Google Play Pass should not be confused with Google Stadia, a cloud gaming service that is capable of streaming video games of up to 4K resolution at 60fps on various smart devices.

Yesterday (15 Oct), Google finally released more information about Stadia and a confirmed launch date.

Announced at Google’s fall hardware event and on a blog post, Google Stadia will be launched on 19 Nov 2019.

Gamers who have ordered Stadia Founder’s Edition or Premiere Edition will get 3 free months of Stadia Pro, the US$9.99/mth subscription service.

Stadia’s Founder’s Edition, which can be purchased for US$129.99, also includes freebies like Chromecast Ultra, and a limited edition Night Blue controller.

Some of the titles that gamers can look forward to include Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Red Dead Redemption 2, Destiny 2, Mortal Kombat 11, and Wolfenstein: Youngblood.

Other than the US, the streaming service will also be launched in Canada, UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland.

Here’s the confirmed list of games available on Google Stadia, according to IGN:
