Today, the Housing Development Board (HDB) announced that they will be rolling out Digital Display Panels (DDPs) in HDB estates across Singapore starting from next year.
For this to happen, HDB has launched a tender to call for the installation, operation, and management of around 6,000 DDPs.
Currently, several Town Councils already have DDPs installed and running at various HDB common areas such as lifts and lift lobbies.
Just like the non-digital notice boards that have been a mainstay at our HDB lift lobbies, DDPs will offering a rolling display of news and information from government agencies and community organisations.
Commercial advertisements can also be displayed on DDPs, but HDB shared that these will be capped at no more than 30% of total screen time.
