In a move that pretty much no one was expecting, it looks like Tim Cook has decided to pay a visit to Singapore.

In a tweet posted yesterday, the Apple CEO shared a photo of him eating at a hawker centre with iPhone photographers Darren Soh (@darrensohphoto) and Aik Beng Chia (@aikbengchia).

Based on the caption it looks like he was eating somewhere in the Tiong Bahru area, and closer inspection of the photo reveals that he tried the carrot cake (white, of course), chwee kueh and sugar cane juice, among other things.

Soh also posted about the rather unassuming meeting on his Instagram account:

As to why he’s in Singapore, well…your guess is as good as ours. Is he simply checking up on operations in the country, or are bigger plans in the works?

The only thing we do know is that as big Apple fans, we want to see the man. If you want to catch a glimpse of Cook in the flesh, however, there’s unfortunately not much to work with. The folks at Apple have provided no information whatsoever on whether he’ll be making any public appearances (heck, he might have already out of the country by the time you read this).

If you ask us, your best bet is probably when he makes his inevitable visit to the Apple Stores in Orchard Road and Jewel Changi Airport.
