Minister Heng Swee Keat announced additional help for families taking care of children and elderly parents.
These include:
- A further $100 cash payout for every adult Singaporean with at least one child aged 20 years and below this year.
- An additional GST Voucher rebate for larger households with five or more members, to help them with their utility bills. Together with the U-Save Special Payment mentioned earlier, larger households can receive a total of 2.5 times their regular U-Save rebates, depending on their flat type.
- A S$100 top-up to the PAssion Card for all Singaporeans aged 50 and above this year, including the Pioneer Generation and Merdeka Generation seniors. This can be used to pay for groceries, activities and facilities at community clubs and more.
