After the release was stalled for a year, Huawei is finally bringing its first laptops and tablet to Singapore on 8 June.

Huawei fans will soon be able to get their hands on two of its mainline laptops, the MateBook 13 and MateBook D 15, as well as its flagship tablet MatePad Pro.

For anyone on the go, the MateBook 13 delivers the perfect portability with its lightweight build at just 1.3kg.

It maximises the display in that sleek and compact body with bezels measuring just 4.4mm, giving it a 88 per cent screen-to-body ratio.

The 2K screen also adopts a unique 3:2 display (as opposed to the traditional 16:9), which allows apps like Microsoft Word to display more content for better productivity.

Powered by the 10th Generation Intel Core processor, it’s poised to handle image and video editing tasks, and entertainment needs like a breeze too.

The MateBook D 15, while featuring a larger screen, is Huawei’s more affordable option targeted at younger consumers and casual users.

It aims to be a seamless work-and-play companion for tech-savvy youths, with a display certified for low blue light emission to better protect users’ eyes.

Huawei’s MatePad Pro is certainly set to rival Apple’s iPad Pro. It checks off a few “world’s firsts” — it boasts the world’s highest screen-to-body ratio for tablets at 90 per cent, and is the world’s first tablet to support wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.

Its Multi-Window function will let you multitask across up to three apps at once. Users can also take productivity to the next level when they use the MatePad Pro with accessories like Huawei’s M-Pencil and Smart Magnetic Keyboard.

Huawei users are probably familiar with this by now, but just so you know: the MatePad Pro comes without Android. However, Huawei has been making up for this well with its EMUI 10 operating system based on Adroid 10, and its growing proprietary AppGallery store.

In keeping with Huawei’s smart ecosystem, the two MateBooks and MatePad Pro come with in-built Multi-screen Collaboration, a function of Huawei Share for advanced cross-platform functionality.

This means users can share a single display across their Huawei devices and easily drag-and-drop files between their laptops, smartphones, and tablets.

The MateBook 13, MateBook D 15, and MatePad Pro will retail at S$1,598, S$998 and S$898 respectively.

They will be arriving in all Huawei Concept stores, selected consumer electronic stores, and official online stores with Lazada and Shopee on 8 June 2020. Or, you can also preorder them from 30 May to 7 June 2020.
