Google has announced the launch of its new mid-range Google Pixel 4a, which comes with a host of new upgrades.
Priced at S$499, the smartphone comes in Just Black with a 5.8 inch bezel-less OLED display and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The phone has a matte finish, which includes the Pixel’s signature colour pop power button in mint.

The new model has an increased storage space of 128GB4, with 6GB of RAM. The Pixel 4a is also installed with a Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 730G Mobile Platform and a Titan M security module.
Mirroring its predecessor, the Google Pixel 4a has a HDR+ camera with dual exposure controls, Portrait Mode, Top Shot, Night Sight with astrophotography capabilities and fused video stabilisation.
According to Google, these top-tier camera features allow you to take crystal-clear night shots, and pictures of the Milky Way.

The operating system also comes with new applications.
That includes a Recorder app, which saves and shares transcribed recordings; an all-day Adaptive Battery which adapts to your smartphone use; and Live Captions, which provides real-time (English) captioning for your calls.

Starting from today (August 4), the Google Pixel 4a is now available for pre-order at the Google Store, Challenger and Courts.
It will be available online from 10 September on the Google Store, Challenger, Courts and Amazon Singapore, and will be available in-stores at Courts and Challenger from mid-October.
Meanwhile, Google’s first 5G-enabled Pixels — Pixel 4a (5G) and Pixel 5 — will be coming in the fall of 2020.
