Circles.Life Data Only Plan
In this article

Those working from home can now purchase a SIM card under Circles.Life‘s Data Only Plan, which allows customers to surf the Internet and work from home without interruptions.

The plan is a good option for consumers who are currently on a different telco contract but are looking for more data.

Available islandwide, the service acts as an alternative data source that does not rely on a mobile plan.

In a survey conducted in June 2020 by UBS on the Singapore Telecommunications Sector, 63 per cent of respondents said they used mobile data at home more often than before during circuit breaker.

The UBS survey also found that the increase in data usage during the circuit breaker period was due to a spike in accessing office and productivity apps (28 per cent in 2020 versus 20 per cent in 2017).

Instead of relying solely on Wi-Fi, the Data Only Plan provides users with 4G speeds across multiple devices and a way to have stable Internet connection at all parts of their homes.

The plan is going at S$25 a month for 50GB, or S$40 a month for 150GB of data.

However, customers who pre-order the plan from now until August 23 will enjoy a special promotion rate of S$20 for 50GB a month, or S$40 for 150GB a month indefinitely.

To put things in perspective, these are the prices for a 1Gbps fibre broadband plan by the other major telecommunications companies in Singapore.

According to the Circles.Life website, its Data Only Plan will operate at “4G speed”.

“With 5G on the horizon, mobile data is going to be the new default way to access the internet.” said Delbert Ty, Head of Marketing at Circles.Life.

“Customers can connect seamlessly from anywhere, whether they are working from a cafe or watching a show from the comfort of their homes. Data is like oxygen now more than ever, and we are in the best
position to serve.”
