Do you remember your campus confessions Facebook page? It was all the hype back then. At one point, our news feed was chock-full of buried secrets and socially awkward situations that we eventually bring to our daily conversations. The hype was overblown — to say the least. However, it appears to be short-lived. The last post on NTU Confessions dates back to February 2013; suffice to say, it doesn’t look like the page is going to reboot anytime soon.
We’re no strangers to internet anonymity. Bakfy, an app based in India, allows campus students to vent their frustrations and share their most private thoughts without revealing their real identity. Not taking a peek at Bakfy is equal to trying to sleep with a full bladder. My curiosity got the best of me, which led me to download the app. After perusing the feed, I found out that it works pretty similar to Truth, an app I wrote about a couple of months back. Some of these confessions aren’t secrets, but one thing for sure, they’re going to leave you amused, make you cringe in horror, and take your breath away.
