If you’ve been caught in the wee hours of the night camping out for those tantalising Flash Deals, collected coupons like they were precious gems, or scrolled endlessly through the Lazada app till your thumb ached, well… you’re not alone.

I’m an online shopaholic and a proud one indeed.

Every year, I cave to the allure of carting out my shopping desires while sitting comfortably in my room. As I flex my fingers and prepare for the major shopping festival marathon that’s coming this 11.11, I can’t help but be attracted to the amazing deals Lazada has in store.

This year, Lazada has seriously upped the stakes from last year. From a sleek new car to a swanky million-dollar condominium. Yes, Lazada decided to go big this year.

It’s not just this single massive prize too. Shopping enthusiasts will totally understand my love for watching live shows and shopping events. Being able to engage with my favourite brands while carting out exclusive 11.11 only deals is almost a sport that I am good at.

This year, Lazada is holding not just an 11.11 sale. It’s a game, concert, and giveaways all rolled into one mega festival.

With prizes, deals, and live activities like that, can anyone truly say no?

The way to an online shopaholic’s heart

For those new to eCommerce, Lazada’s annual 11.11 in November is the main event of the year-end shopping season. Double 11, also known as “Singles’ Day”, originated as a shopping festival initiated by China’s Alibaba in 2009.

It’s no secret that the eCommerce scene is saturated with many sellers these days. Shoppers like me aren’t swept away by a 20 or even 40 per cent slash on products that you can easily find on multiple platforms.

Seasoned online shoppers like myself are looking for new and unique experiences to enhance our time online. So, my interest piqued when Lazada 11.11 offered more than the usual eCommerce platform with many games, daily missions, and an extensive list of flash sales that keeps me wanting more.

If you recall last year’s 11.11 sale event, Lazada roped in Korean megastar (“Oppa”) Lee Min Ho as its ambassador. This year, they are keeping us fans hooked with more eye candy. They have recruited K-pop band, SEVENTEEN, and there’s even a concert to watch via the app.

In addition, Lazada is giving shoppers more sweet treats, such as the S$6 of S$60 Lazada Bonus. There’s also a hunt for “Golden Keys” for the million-dollar condominium up for grabs.

Lazada 11.11 is making this year’s 11.11 an affair to remember, even if you don’t think you’ll buy anything (although you probably will buy something).

Shop and play, and even win attractive prizes

Lazada has changed the game of online shopping with ‘Shoppertainment’, which merges shopping with entertainment and social experiences.

Playing games to win shopping vouchers is one of the best parts of shopping online. I can’t tell you how much time I’ve spent on the LazLive channel for snagging bundle deals on all my favourite brands.

The eCommerce platform has made this year’s 11.11 extra fun. From now till November 10, you can play the game Lazzie Star to earn the coveted Golden Keys, which allows you to win prizes. A total of 34 golden keys through missions in the Lazada app gives you a chance to bag the top prize of a condominium.

To win the keys, you have to train Lazzie by using ‘energy’ to achieve the highest level of Level 30. ‘Energy’ can be collected by completing various tasks such as completing missions, daily tasks, cracking the daily surprise egg and more.

You can attain up to 10 Golden Keys in total at Level 15, 25 and 30 of Lazzie Star. With these Golden Keys, you increase your chances of winning the ultimate prize – a million-dollar condominium unit at Normanton Park.

Last year, Lazada gifted a car, and this year it’s a one-bedroom condo. Just think, you don’t need to wait for a BTO anymore. Let the interior design Pinterest board take over.

To increase your chances of getting more keys, you can also refer a new friend to the Lazzie Star game. This way, both you and your friend will receive a Golden Key each upon successful referral.

I know this might sound overwhelming at first, and trust me, it was to me as well. After a while, you’ll get the hang of it, and the dopamine rush from helping Lazzie on her journey is satisfying.

I like to play Lazzie Start at the start of the day to feel accomplished and bask in all the good vibes.

Aside from picking up your 10 Golden Keys from Lazzie Star and another 10 from referring your friends, you can also pick up a Golden Key daily by purchasing 100 LazCoins at S$1. You can purchase up to 11 keys over 11 days to increase your chances of winning.

To collect the remaining three Golden Keys, you can purchase the Monopoly PropNex Edition and get additional two Golden Keys. Each user is only allowed one purchase while stocks last.

Just remember — you don’t need to collect all the Golden Keys, but each additional key increases your chances of winning that coveted condominium.

Bag deals and instant checkouts without “queuing”

Okay, here’s another thing about shopaholics like us. We can’t resist a good deal and discount. This might be my inner ‘auntie’ talking, but the Lazada Bonus of S$6 off every S$60 is music to my ears.

I have been accumulating the Lazada bonus over the past few days to “cash in” on this amount during 11.11 to offset my purchases. The vouchers can be stacked and used on top of store and bank vouchers, making the deals even sweeter. Yes, this is a little tip from me to you.

There is currently a ‘Presale’ event for items sold at discounted prices. All you need is to place an 11 per cent deposit ahead of 11.11 to lock in pre-sale prices on eligible items, to cash in on those savings on the actual day.

For example, I saw this gorgeous Jo Malone, 2 piece set with English Pear & Freesia Cologne and Body Crème 15ml worth S$132 — all I had to do was place a deposit for S$12, and I secured the pre-sale price of S$110 and ensured a set that will be sent to me when I pay up the full price on 11.11.

Those year-end sales at malls used to be the highlight of my year, where I bag huge savings. But since becoming an avid online shopper, it has been less physically tiring as I no longer have to jostle with crowded malls, making this one the best part of 11.11.

Also, I’m pretty helpless to the siren call of the ‘Vote to Win’ activity since finding it on the app, where shoppers can vote for their favourite items to try and win S$0.01 purchases on attractive items.

These aren’t out-of-season or low-price items. The list includes a PRISM+ Q75 4K Android TV, the Samsung HW-Q900A True 7.1.2ch Soundbar, a Garmin Vivomove 3, Microsoft Surface Go 3, and more.

For shoppers who are more spontaneous and love surprises, Lazada’s Surprise Boxes are the ones they should really consider.

Here, you can get up to S$200 worth of items for just S$79 and other values at S$11 (worth S$50), S$28 (worth S$100) and S$49 (worth S$150), making it a great incentive to get maximised value on purchases. What I love to do is to buy the biggest box and split the goodies among my shopaholic friends. After all, we love a good deal.

Be entertained: Live streaming concert with K-pop group, Benjamin Kheng

An online sale can sometimes feel like a rather lonely affair, but Lazada’s live activities can make me feel like I’m part of this celebration.

The atmosphere of live-streaming rooms is both intimate and exciting—the stream of live chat comments and string of accompanying “like” emojis always lift my mood.

The camaraderie I feel with fellow shoppers as we gear up to check out our carts together at the stroke of midnight undoubtedly makes the experience a personal one.

On November 10, from 8pm to 10.30pm, shoppers, including myself, can look forward to the 11.11 Super Show Virtual Concert countdown that begins with Lazada’s Regional Happiness Ambassadors, K-pop group SEVENTEEN, as they take the stage as the headline act.

While I hum to tunes of Korean idol group SEVENTEEN and be entertained by Lazada’s resident Chief Discount Officer, Royce Lee, along with local personalities Benjamin Kheng, Wang Lei, Jaspers, Nicole Chang Min and the like,

I’ll be checking the list of items in my cart on the side to reorganise and ensure they are ready to be carted out soon in case I miss out on any item that gets sold out.

When the clock strikes midnight, things start to get interesting with a two-hour special Storewide Flash Sale with up to 90 per cent off on over 300 brands.

I’ll be looking out for additional deals to add to cart as a final effort before I make the first cart out — all while maximising my Lazada Bonus amount with vouchers and free shipping eligibility.

A moth to the flame that is Lazada 11.11

Lazada’s vast marketplace allows you to discover new brands with a click of a button — with its navigation tools and suggested products constantly popping up when scrolling the feed.

You might just find yourself searching for things you actually want to spruce up your home and living – like cleaning gadgets, plant pots, and beauty products.

Lazada 11.11

This is my ‘For you’ page. These are items that I have been considering for a while.

It shows the spread and variety of items one can find on Lazada. Lazada seems to be able to sell everything that you can think of, from the cheapest and durable iPhone protector to luxury goods like a gorgeous pair of Ferragamo pumps.

To sweeten the deal, Lazada offers a best-price guarantee so you can be assured that you are scoring the best deals on top of vouchers to maximise your savings.

It’s no secret that I’m a serious online shopper, and Lazada fulfils all my shopping needs — from the nitty-gritty to those treat yo’self splurges that we all need from time to time.

The best part, I can do it all from my phone.

That said, mark your calendars for the upcoming Lazada 11.11 sale and start adding your wishlist to cart now.
