But for customers of Tiger Brokers, attaining financial freedom through investing has been made more attainable.

It is a one-stop wealth management platform that allows users to quickly and easily invest globally. Through the platform, users can get access to real-time stock information, market trends and test their strategies using a paper account.

The online broker recently concluded its two-day What Would Tiger Do (WWTD) 2022 event in Singapore from January 8 to 9. Through a range of panel discussions and activities, customers were equipped with knowledge and advice to come out top in the global market.

During the two-day event, attendees could attend a WWTD Live webinar through the Tiger Brokers mobile app and website.

Organised in a similar format to an interactive talk show, invited investment experts shared their knowledge and experiences to around 60,000 viewers, allowing them to create wiser and more confident decisions during their investment journey.

Some of the topics discussed include trends and the thematic outlook of 2022, the fundamentals of investing, and advanced trading strategies.

WWTD 2022 took on a hybrid format, so its line-up of events was not just limited to its online webinar.

More than 1,000 people also visited their WWTD Experience Store at Tiong Bahru, where they could play a simple investment simulation game.

The games and activities at the experience store were designed to be a “light-hearted experience for players while helping them discover suitable products for their risk tolerance,” said Grace Yong, Tiger Brokers’ Head of Institutional Sales.

National University of Singapore Professor Keith Carter, who attended the event with his sons, described WWTD 2022 as an enjoyable family-friendly event that “allowed everyone to know about financial literacy, enabling ongoing conversations at home.”

“Experiential education is the key to enable people of all ages to quickly and safely understand complex topics. The experiential education of the Tiger Brokers showcase gave participants the understanding that they would benefit from seeing their investments in one place,” he said.

By turning the risk management analysis into a fun and interactive game, Tiger Brokers was able to make complex concepts related to investing easy to understand, which can help guide important financial decisions.

Although WWTD 2022 has come to a close, it is merely the tip of the iceberg as Tiger Brokers has a pipeline of other exciting events planned for the new year ahead. According to Yong, these events will be centred around equipping customers with the skills to invest.

She added that Tiger Brokers is exploring collaborations with local universities and youth programmes to provide Singaporean youths a solid foundation in financial literacy.

Last year, Tiger Brokers was named Asia’s Most Innovative Company at the 2021 Fortune Times awards ceremony. This is a testament to the company’s commitment to innovation, as it recently announced plans to explore cryptocurrency and alternative assets.

In November 2021, Tiger Brokers also became the latest securities trading and clearing member of the Singapore Exchange, and a trading member for derivatives.

Diversify your portfolio with Tiger Brokers

Through the activities during WWTD 2022, Yong noticed that younger investors preferred stocks as their mode of investments over futures and unit trusts.

However, she noted that healthy investment portfolios should contain a mix of other products such as Unit Trusts that deliver strong returns while requiring minimal effort in managing them.

Beyond being just a stock trading company, Tiger Brokers is also a wealth management platform with products such as Unit Trusts available.

Managed by first-rate global asset managers with deep investment expertise and rigorous risk management background, users can easily build and diversify their portfolios through these unit trusts.
