Another sign that Singapore’s next General Elections is coming soon, the Registers of Electors was certified today, the 23rd of July 2024, and is now available for public inspection.
This is to ensure that you are registered to vote and that your voting details are correct.
You can check your particulars electronically at the Elections Department website or via the “My Profile” on your Singpass App:
If you are not able to check your details online, you will have to make your way to a Community Centre/Club or a ServiceSG Centre (see Annex B here) near your home.
You can also make an appointment with the Election Department through the Election Department website or call 1800-225-5353.
Overseas Singaporeans who cannot do so online may check their particulars at Singapore overseas missions serving as overseas registration centres.
Restoring your name to the voting register
If your name has been removed from the voter register for failing to vote at a past election, you may apply to have your name restored to the registers via Voter Services at the Election Department website.
Note that once the next General Election is announced, if you haven’t already registered, you cannot register from the date the Writ for Election is issued to after Polling Day (after Nomination Day if the election is not contested.)
Overseas Singaporean voters
Overseas Singaporeans whose names are listed in the Registers of Electors may register as overseas electors to vote by post or in person at one of the ten overseas polling stations: Beijing, Canberra, Dubai, Hong Kong, London, New York, San Francisco, Shanghai, Tokyo, Washington D.C.
Overseas Singaporeans may register as an overseas elector via Voter Services at the Election Department website or in person at one of the overseas registration centres.
To be eligible to register as overseas electors, overseas Singaporeans need to have resided in Singapore for an aggregate of at least 30 days within a 3-year period prior to the date of registration as an overseas elector.
