There’s a viral video about social media and social network that has been going around the Internet now.

Written, performed and directed by Gary Turk, ‘Look Up‘ is a spoken word film for an online generation.

‘Look Up’ is a lesson taught to us through a love story, in a world where we continue to find ways to make it easier for us to connect with one another, but always results in us spending more time alone.

The story paints the hard truth about reality today: children are growing up in a world where they don’t play outside or communicate with their friends. It seems today everything is done via text message or over the Internet. It seems that human interaction is slowly taken over by online to online interaction.

And this is heartbreaking.

The video, which has racked up more than 38 million views on YouTube in just a month, appears to have struck a chord with many people feeling disillusioned with being constantly connected.
