In Asia, there’s a negative stigma that using online dating site or mobile apps meant that you have to rely on technology to find your one true love. For western countries, that is not entirely the case, not for Amy Webb, strategist and CEO of Webbmedia Group.
Webb recently gave a TED Talk on her experiences with online dating and how she cracked the system and used it to her advantage. While her family told her that she was being “too picky” when there was noone suitable to go out with, Webb was busy coming out with her own way to find her Mr Right. She did, and she is now happily married with a daughter Petra.
Webb leaves us with some great universal advice: “All you have to really do is figure out your own framework, and play by your own rules, and feel free to be as picky as you want.”
