Some guy just raised the bar for epic marriage proposals (sorry dudes).

The guy in question is John Khoo, the director behind John & Deniece Glee Studios, the company behind this performance. Bringing in talent from Glee Studios Singapore as well as Singapore Show Choir Academy, John brought Sing-And-Dance marriage proposals to a whole new level, filling Singapore’s Changi Airport with singers, dancers, and spectators armed with cameras. It looks like it could be one of the largest song-and-dance marriage proposals done in Singapore.

Being a director for a show choir studio, it’s not surprising that he did most of the singing himself, through a rendition of One Direction’s ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ and a very touching ‘Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love For You’ by George Benson. At the end of the 10 minute showcase, his girlfriend (and now fiancee) Mellissa said yes.

According to STOMP, the Show Choir flash mob had over 100 participants singing and dancing, and the John & Deniece Glee Studio Facebook also stated that it had taken months to prepare for this spectacle.

John is the director of John & Deniece Glee Studios, which according to the website aims to be Singapore’s leading institution to spearhead the revolution of Show Choirs in Singapore. The YouTube page also directs you to an email you can contact if you, too, want to woo your girl with a spectacular song and dance.

So is this a sales pitch for a new product? A convenient connection? And most importantly, does anyone care? At least John raises the bar, while letting everyone know how they can do the same. He’s that generous.
