Singapore’s Changi is known for many things, perhaps the best of all: The World’s Best Airport.
But they are not content with it: to keep up with the expected increase in traveller’s traffic as well as expand its service offerings, it is currently building its fourth terminal where the former Budget Terminal was located. The new terminal T4, will open in 2017. This terminal will provide service to both regional full-service and low-cost carriers.
For travellers and fans interested to know how the new T4 will look like, Changi Airport just released a new video providing a sneak peek into the new facility. Called “A Terminal For The Future”, the two and half minute video highlights various new technologies such as the extensive use of self-service check-in and bag tagging machines.
Here’s what we can gather from the video, there’s going to be a steakhouse, a lot of alcohol (Vodka and Champagne) at the duty free area, extensive use of the trees, peranakan heritage shop fronts, aerobridges, as well as Rock Gardens.
