Last week, Maxis Bhd officially launched a new app called MyMaxis for its postpaid users. It’s available via both iOS and Android, and is a self-serve, all-in-one app that allows users to view postpaid account information, purchase data passes, and perform transactions like downloading and paying bills all on the go. The app can also remind you of your SIM’s PUK Code, and users can edit their eBilling email address in-app.

The MyMaxis app is relatively simple to use: its interface is clean and easy to navigate, and it comes with a listing of the locations of Maxis stores in the country, FAQs, Maxis’ customer care hotline, as well as a feature that allows customers to leave feedback.

The app also has a handy ‘one time pass’ button that allows you to buy data boosters if you are running out of data. In addition, the app works as a rewards app which offers over 100 rewards under five categories:  dining, entertainment, health & beauty, shopping, and travel.

Dushyan Vaithiyanathan, head of consumer business in Maxis, said, “The roles of physical centres have evolved from being very transactional-oriented to consultation-based, so activities like checking bills, usage tracking, purchasing and payments can be done by the customers themselves simply through this app.”

Dushyan continued, “MyMaxis App also shows that while we have invested in digitisation to ensure that our customers have full control over their accounts via their smartphones, we are still keeping a personal connection with them through rewards that follow them wherever they go.”

The only downside of the app is that it is not available for Maxis’ prepaid users. Nevertheless, if you are a Maxis postpaid user, do give this app a go, as it’s so much more convenient for you!
