“The Wardrobe Theory girl is confident, sexy, quirky and fun at the same time. She’s a style chameleon that loves dressing up; girly and feminine girl one day, traffic-stopping fashionista the next. She is special and she knows it, becoming anything she sets out to be.”

This is the description on local e-commerce site Wardrobe Theory, and without a doubt, it speaks most strongly of our personalities today.

Jeneen Goh is the co-founder of Wardrobe Theory, who’s also an avid blogger and soon-to-be bride (any guesses who the groom-to-be is?). On top of these, she was also a finalist in Star Search 2007 — a popular talent-search program across Asia — so it’s no surprise if you find her familiar.

Although eventually eliminated, Jeneen took all of that in her stride and reinvented herself for something greater. Speaking warmly in our interview, Jeneen shared that she lives by two life quotes:

“A head full of fears has no space for dreams; fate favours the fearless. I think that life is too short to not do what you want to do. You are never too young, too old, too poor, too uneducated or too busy to start living your dream.”

Today, Vulcan Post has the privilege to take a sneak peek into the homescreen of Jeneen’s smartphone and get to know the apps that she lives by!

1. PS Express

“I manage Wardrobe Theory’s and my own social media accounts, so I use this app daily to edit pictures before posting them on Instagram or Facebook. I like that it doesn’t compress and compromise with the quality of the pictures after editing. Plus, the editing tools provided — such as adjusting the exposure — is pretty wide. For example, you’re able to adjust your image much brighter on this app as compared to brightening it directly on Instagram.”

2. Instagram

“This app is part work and part fun for me. The fun being posting pictures on my personal account and documenting my daily life in pictures. I think it’ll serve as a great memory book down the road. The work part is managing my store, Wardrobe Theory’s account. Although, I do enjoy and have fun getting creative with the pictures and reading comments left by our followers. I also follow a lot of design houses, brands and style bloggers to get inspiration for work everyday.”

3. GrabTaxi

“I take cabs almost everywhere I go. Although this app is relatively new, it gets me a cab 99% of the time when other cab booking apps fail me. The bonus is that it’s so easy to use and functional. It shows you the number of cabs that are nearby and gives you the driver’s mobile number so you can locate each other easily.”

4. Houzz

“I recently got the keys to my new place, so I’ve been on this app a lot for interior design ideas and inspiration. I love getting creative, so I hope to design the place on my own without too much help. This app has got a huge library of beautiful spaces from living rooms to walk in wardrobes. The pictures are also categorised by style, room size, etc., so it’s easy to find what you’re looking for.”

5. Flipboard

“I usually end my day and wind down in bed with this app. It’s like my personal magazine and I get a dose of all my favourite topics under one roof. I keep updated with what’s happening around the world with the ‘news’ section, get my dose of style and fashion from the ‘fashion’ section, and get inspired by the features in the ‘design’ section. I especially enjoy the articles featured in ‘Flipboard picks’ — they’re a mix of all the best news from all genres picked by Flipboard’s staff.”

Thank you, Jeneen, for sharing so readily with us the apps you use.

For those who want to find out more about Jeneen’s beauty inspirations or wedding preparation journey, check out her blog or follow her on Instagram. Who knows, you might gain a tip or two when it’s your turn to wed!

For those who are still guessing who the groom-to-be is, I’m sure you will find that out soon. One thing’s for sure, he’s no stranger!
