KAYAK, one of the biggest travel search engines, has just arrived on Singapore’s shores. With a web portal and mobile app, the US-originated company allows people to easily search through hundreds of travel sites at once for any travel needs at the best prices — from accommodation, flights, rental cars, to vacation packages.

KAYAK processes more than one billion searches every year, and is currently present in more than 30 local markets in over 20 languages.

To celebrate its arrival in Singapore, KAYAK is organising a competition for travellers and fans to win exclusive prizes. From April 15 to May 3 2015, fans in Singapore can take part in the Stick and Snap competition: collect a KAYAK luggage sticker from a distribution point between 15 and 18 April, stick it on your travel bag or suitcase, snap a picture of it, and share it on Facebook with the hashtag #KAYAKExplorer.

The post has to be public for everyone to see it, and the picture with the most likes will win the grand prize: free round trip flights abroad! There will also be 50 runner-up prizes consisting of limited edition KAYAK gear.

The distribution points accessible from 15 to 18 April are:

  • Raffles Place (OUB Centre): 11am – 7pm, Wednesday – Friday
  • Orchard Road (313 Somerset): 11am – 3pm, Wednesday – Thursday; and 12pm – 8pm, FridaySaturday
  • Bugis Junction: 11am – 3pm, WednesdayThursday; and 12pm – 8pm, FridaySaturday

Debby Soo, KAYAK Vice President APAC, said, “We are happy to celebrate the launch of KAYAK.com.sg with Singaporeans thanks to the KAYAK ‘Stick and Snap’ contest. Singaporeans love to travel and are true explorers, so we are delighted to be able to serve them and help them find the very best travel deals quickly and easily. We also cannot wait to see all the creative and imaginative entries to the contest. You can take the picture anywhere, as long as you have collected the KAYAK sticker and it is photographed on an item of luggage and posted on Facebook with the #KAYAKExplorer hashtag.”
