Amidst the clutter of your phone, here’s one app you need to make space for this Great Singapore Sale — ION Orchard’s free mobile app. During the GSS period from 29 May to 14 June, the ION Orchard app is set to deliver your daily dose of shopping deals at 11am sharp — shoppers will be able to find these exclusive deals in the app’s specially-created GSS Deals tab and, of course, head down to the shops at ION to redeem them directly.
The first wave of ION’s GSS Deals will feature over 50 promotions, with 3,000 products and discounts up for grabs. There’re giveaways from British-inspired fashion concept store Lapalette, and Italian stationery accessories brand Campo Marzio, among others — it’s enough to make any shopaholic’s head spin. As if that weren’t droolworthy enough (be careful not to drool too much on your phone, though), ION plans to line up a series of themed Long Weekend HoliDeals, also via the ION Orchard mobile app. Good news: we’re almost at the half-year mark, but there’re still at least four long weekends to enjoy this year. So if you’re looking to relieve your workweek stress with a bit of retail therapy, ION Orchard has got you covered.
Fashionistas might also want to take note of one more event that’s happening at ION during this period — the STYLE: Travel-Themed Shopping Emporium. B4 ION Station will feature four mannequins styled by Mediacorp artistes Jeffery Xu and Jayley Woo, with each style representing the big four capitals of the fashion world: New York, London, Milan and Paris. All you have to do – and if you’re a serious fashionista, this shouldn’t be a problem – is to snap photos of the four mannequins, upload them on Instagram, hashtag them with #IONgraphy and #IONxFashionCapital, and match each look with the correct capital. According to ION Orchard, one winner will receive a mystery gift that’s worth $500.
