Remember that back in January last year, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) announced its plans to roll our free WiFi trials (via Wireless@SG) at 28 MRT stations across Singapore? As we previously noted, these 28 MRT stations comprise the entirety of the North East Line, along with 12 other stations that see high commuter usage: Jurong East, Raffles Place, City Hall, Dhoby Ghaut, Bishan, Serangoon, Buona Vista, Outram Park, Paya Lebar, Orchard, Choa Chu Kang and Harbourfront.

It seems that the initiative by LTA is going well so far, because starting today (May 21), free WiFi services will be rolled out at four more MRT stations. According to a report by Coconuts Singapore, Khatib, Outram Park, HarbourFront and Stadium are the lucky four who will enjoy this privilege. Khatib and Stadium are new additions to the initial 28, while Outram Park and HarbourFront are part of the progressive roll-out of free WiFi by LTA. If your workplace or home happens to be near any of these stations, congratulations — you now have Wireless@SG to facilitate your morning or evening entertainment.

Here’s an updated map of your wifi hotspots:

Go forth and enjoy! And if you still haven’t signed up for Wireless@SG, now might be a good time to do so.
