M1, one of the main telcos in Singapore, yesterday announced that all M1 subscribers will be enjoying free voice calls, SMS/MMS messages and mobile data for local usage during the upcoming National Day weekend. This promotion is applicable to all M1’s post-paid and pre-paid customers, from 7 August to the end of the day on August 10.
“Singapore is widely acknowledged to be one of the world’s most connected societies, and we are proud to be part of this remarkable story for the last 18 years. As a Singapore company, we want to do our part to mark this milestone celebration, and what better way to do that than allow our customers to freely share their joys and wishes for our nation with each other, on this very special occasion,” said Mr Poopalasingam Subramaniam, M1’s Chief Marketing Officer.
According to the press release, M1 has served closed to 2 million customers since it was established in 1997.
While there have been no official announcements from the other telcos yet, we expect them to follow suit by offering discounts or even free mobile data access for the SG50 celebrations.
