Being a woman is expensive. When you are born a woman, you have got to pay premium. From haircuts to facials, women do pay more for products and services than the common man. Some saloons charge us more for a cut because we are female.
As a result, we are always up for ways to save more money without sabotaging our leisure and entertainment. For instance, we shop during sales and clearance. We subscribe to e-commerce newsletters so that we can be in touch with the latest promotions.
And when it comes to saving money in the beauty industry, Beaupass poses to be a lifesaver.
Beaupass is a platform that gives you unlimited access to the best beauty centres in town for a monthly fee. There is no need to purchase coupons nor pay in advance. All you need to do is sign up for the invite list at their website. Once you receive an invitation to claim your account, remember to register your personal details and purchase your Beaupass membership which costs only RM99 per month.
Imagine if you go to a facial session that costs RM60, a spa therapy costs RM80 and a waxing service costs RM30, adding all these services will be RM170 in total. However as a Beaupass member, you’d be able to have access to these services with RM99 a month.
How does it work?
To enjoy their services from their partner, all you need to do is head to the website, choose from any of Beaupass’s beauty centre services, then click the “Book” button next to the service. In 48 hours, their partner will give you a call to arrange the appointment time.
In terms of the pricing structure, the lowest package comes at RM99, which is the one-month pass. The booking account allows requests up to 10 appointments at one time. After you enjoy the service, you will have to give a simple feedback to review the merchant.
Priding themselves as the leading premier beauty membership club in Asia, Beaupass has offices in Malaysia, Singapore, and Jakarta. In Malaysia, the beauty services platform is currently available in the Klang Valley, Penang, and Kedah.
Founded in Malaysia earlier this year, Beaupass currently is partnered with more than 150 beauty centres, the platform lists a number of available beauty services, ranging from hair treatments, pedicures, facials, massages, waxing, manicures, eyebrow threading, and even slimming spa treatments.
As we all know, beauty centres like saloons and spas are more than just a trendy fad. In an age where people are paying to unwind and look more attractive, the idea behind Beaupass is certainly work-able.
However, the interface of the website needs improvement. The layout and overlay is plain and dull. It does not scream excitement for me and the page appears incomplete.
Nonetheless, Beaupass is possibly the first of its kind in Malaysia which is a plus point for them. It sounds similar to the concept of KFIT, which is for health and fitness enthusiasts.
Would I use it? Probably, but only if I decide to go for more than three different services a month to ensure that the monthly pass is fully utilised. Therefore, if you ask me whether Beaupass is worth the money? That depends on how are you making use of the pass.
The potential challenge in the future would most likely be persuading more beauty centers to come onboard to avoid their subscribers to get bored by the repetitive options. Nonetheless, it is also a great database to discover new services beyond huge beauty franchises.
