Many are waiting with bated breath for Taco Bell’s official launch in Malaysia with their first store in Cyberjaya on April 2, under the franchise holder Disruptive Concepts Sdn Bhd.
But what made them pick Cyberjaya over KL? According to the team, it’s because they see Cyberjaya becoming a prime location with better connectivity thanks to 4 major expressways: LDP, SKVE, MEX and Elite, making the journey for customers from different areas more convenient.
In a virtual launch today, the Taco Bell Malaysia team shared more information on what the public can expect once their doors open.
What’s On The Menu?
Of course, their food is at the forefront of everyone’s minds. Some things on the menu that Malaysians can come to expect will include the 2 Taco Supreme, Kickin’ Chicken Tacos, Crunchwrap Supreme, Loaded Nachos, and more. Vegetarians can switch their protein options to black beans for most dishes on the menu too.
There will be a dish unique to Taco Bell Malaysia with flavours for the local palate called the Bell Rice Bowl as well.
Drinks-wise, customers can expect to try their new Taco Bell Sparklers in 2 flavours for something different. The ingredients used will all be Halal certified, the team assured.
What Safety SOPs Are There?
Taco Bell will be open from 10AM to 11PM daily for dine-in and takeaway, and to ensure that there’s enough space for social distancing, only 50 guests will be permitted in the premises at any one time.
As expected, the standard entry SOPs of wearing a mask, temperature checks, MySejahtera registrations and hand sanitising will be present.
Frequent sanitisation of touchpoints like door handles, tables, and even chairs will be carried out every 30 minutes.
Customers are encouraged to pay via e-wallets, credit or debit cards. Cash is still accepted, but transactions will be done by placing money on a tray and passing it back and forth to reduce contact.

We’re expecting to see posts on social media about the long, long lines on April 2 and possibly for another week after. As of now, there will only be dine-in and takeaway options, with delivery ones coming but yet to be announced.
If you’re unable to get a seat safely anytime soon, then perhaps you could first take your hunger to some locally owned Mexican restaurants like Thyme Out, Las Carretas, Loco Mexican Bar & Restaurant, and more.
Taco Bell will be opening another outlet soon in Tropicana Gardens Mall, PJ, and if all goes well, we can expect to see even more outlets popping up across Malaysia.
