Streaming giant Netflix has recently raised its prices in Singapore from October 7.
It currently offers three tiers of subscription plans: basic, standard and premium.
Prices have since been revised for all plans. A basic plan now costs S$12.98 (previously S$11.98), a standard plan now costs S$17.48 (previously S$15.98), and a premium plan now costs S$21.98 (previously S$19.98).
This means that the price increment ranged between S$1 and S$2.
The new pricing is currently applicable to new subscribers only. Meanwhile, existing subscribers will be notified via email a month before the new prices kick in.
The last time Netflix revised its Singapore pricing was in January 2020, making this the second price increase in the last two years.
In comparison, another streaming service provider Disney+, is charging users at S$11.98 per month or S$119.98 a year.
