Building a great place is about more than just structures, it’s about supporting the people, businesses, and ideas that help a community grow.

And that’s what Gamuda Land truly believes.

That’s why their SME-focused initiative, GL Business Get Set, GO! Programme, is committed to supporting entrepreneurs with more than just shop space.

Through capital grants, rent-free periods, and visibility support, the programme helps local businesses take meaningful steps to enter the physical retail realm.

And the impact doesn’t stop there; entrepreneurs in Gamuda Land’s ecosystem aren’t just empowered within their developments. With support that helps cultivate real business acumen, the programme supports businesses in the broader community landscape.

Backing entrepreneurs with real support

Earlier this year, Gamuda Land partnered with Dream Factory Startup Competition to recognise and uplift promising local businesses.

If you’ve never heard of the Dream Factory Startup Competition before, it’s the first Chinese-medium entrepreneurship competition in Malaysia, co-organised by local ECF platform MyStartr and Affin Bank.

Now in its ninth iteration, the competition has supported more than 680 entrepreneurs, with 95 successful projects launched.

The most recent edition, themed “Creating Sustainability,” saw 10 winning teams selected from 22 finalists.

Among the winners, Areõma Boutique Spa and Asoh Kopi were selected for the Gamuda Land Business Get Set, GO! Reward, receiving rental holidays and business support in a Gamuda Land township.

Their inclusion reflects Gamuda Land’s broader belief in nurturing purpose-driven entrepreneurs.

Get set and go!

Like Areõma Boutique Spa and Asoh Kopi, other Malaysian SMEs can also tap into Gamuda Land’s Business Get Set, GO! programme.

The programme was created to give local SMEs the push they need to expand into physical, community-facing spaces.

It’s all about providing exclusive support to SMEs, helping businesses set up a brick-and-mortar location, it also contributes to a thriving F&B and retail community in Gamuda Land townships.

What makes this programme stand out is its combination of financial assistance and practical support (with over RM1.3 million distributed so far), including:

  • Rental holidays in walkable, well-planned precincts
  • Capital expenditure grants
  • Coaching, marketing, and operational guidance
  • Support through Gamuda Land’s ongoing marketing efforts

The goal is to create places where local businesses can thrive and where communities benefit from diverse and quality offerings. This makes it a win-win situation for budding businesses as well as for Gamuda Land’s townships.

Shaping communities together

Gamuda Land’s Business Get Set, GO! programme reflects the developer’s belief that thriving communities are built not just with good planning, but with the people and businesses who call these places home.

It’s part of a long-term effort to support the people behind growing businesses, by offering practical help that makes a real difference.

Through this initiative, Gamuda Land hopes to create townships that are not only liveable, but also full of life. These would be places where small businesses can take root and grow alongside the communities they serve.

If you’re ready to grow your business in a place that grows with you, this might be the opportunity to take that next step. Apply today at Gamuda Land’s Business Get Set Go website.
