What would the soundtrack to your wedding be?
In the last couple of months, I’ve witnessed a fair number of friends getting married, and congratulated a few more on their engagements. And it’s strange, but we’ve never actually discussed how they came up with their wedding playlists — or how they intend to. Yet, I’m sure there are more than a small number of brides and grooms-to-be out there who could use a little help in this department.
Now they do: Spotify has just revealed that the top choice for Singaporeans when it comes to wedding themed playlists is John Legend’s All of Me. In fact, the ballad is the first choice for couples not only in Singapore, but all over the world. Other ballads that made the cut in Singapore include Christina Perri’s A Thousand Years, as well as Adele’s Make You Feel My Love.
If you happen to be planning your own wedding, and need help picking out the best music, wedding planner Mindy Weiss — whose clients include Gwen Stefani and Ellen Degeneres — explains how her clients make their choices:
“They choose the soundtrack based on personal moments they’ve shared together, keeping in mind what their guests will like, as well as make sure there is a good mix of golden oldies and modern hits to keep people on the dance floor all night long.”
