The Mid-Autumn Festival is soon approaching on September 29, 2023, and that can only mean one thing—the season of enjoying delicious mooncakes is here again.

1. Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur’s Mooncakes
Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur has an assortment of not just traditional and snow-skinned mooncakes this year, but also chocolate mooncakes.
The traditionally baked mooncakes are available through the Mooncake Box of 4 or Mooncake Box of 6.
There’s also a Halal Certified Baked Mooncake offering available for Muslim friends. Flavours here include:
- Assorted mixed nuts
- Lotus paste with single egg yolk
- Pandan paste with single egg yolk
- Black sesame, lotus, and melon seed
- Red bean paste and almond flakes
- Low sugar white lotus paste

2. The Westin Kuala Lumpur’s Garden of Bloom
This year, The Westin Kuala Lumpur is offering its mooncakes in a tiered box with floral prints.
The Garden of Bloom features eight traditional and contemporary preferences. Coming in sets of four, each package is RM238.
The flavours are Musang King Lava, Matcha Red Bean Omochi, Black Forest, Osmanthus Royale, White Lotus with Single Yolk (Low Sugar), Pure Lotus (Without Sugar), Chocolate Lava, and Mixed Nuts.

4. Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur’s The Elegance of Travel
Delivering its mooncakes with a vintage-styled briefcase complete with a luggage tag, Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur takes guests on a culinary exploration with The Elegance of Travel.
Its Premium Gift Sets are collections of four classic mooncakes. At RM248, the Traditional Classic Baked Mooncakes feature the well-loved flavours of Lotus Paste with Single Yolk, Pandan Single Yolk, Red Bean Paste, White Lotus Paste.
Meanwhile, the snow-skinned offerings feature unique flavours such as the Signature Illy Coffee; 70% Cocoa Chocolate and Passion Custard; Chinese Chrysanthemum Tea, Matcha, Lime and Lychee; and Summer Strawberries and Cream.

6. EQ Kuala Lumpur’s Celestial Treasures
EQ Kuala Lumpur returns with its Celestial Treasures series of collections.
The Autumn Jade Collection features a light blue carrier adorned with leather details, while the Longevity Collection features a maroon box. Both the Autumn Jade Collection and the Longevity Collection come as a box of four traditional-baked mooncakes or six snow-skinned mooncakes.
The Miniature Collection, as its name suggests, offers a set of eight traditional-baked mini mooncakes (four green tea-flavoured, four pure lotus).
Last but certainly not least, The Celestial Treasure Premium Collection, housed in a deep red packaging, features either a bottle of Henessy VSOP or Bottega Gold Prosecco, and four traditional-baked mooncakes.
Flavours of the traditionally baked mooncakes are EQ Signature Pearl of Harmony, Low Sugar White Lotus Single Yolk, Traditional Cantonese Mixed Nuts, Pandan Lotus, and Red Bean.

7. W Kuala Lumpur’s Moonlit Mirage
Always one to go the youthful route, W Kuala Lumpur presents a sleek bag as the packaging for its mooncakes this year. The collection comes in two bold colours—Iconic Blue and Enigmatic Purple.
Each box features four mooncakes with a variety of flavour options, which are: Lotus Seed Paste Double Yolk, Mix Nuts, Red Bean with Tangerine Peel, Pure White Lotus, Black Sesame with Yam Eggs, Jasmine with Red Dates, Puer with Lychee, and Seasalt Chocolate.
W Kuala Lumpur is also offering the Moonlit Mirage Mixology Kit at RM348, which includes a 200ml bottle of Roku Gin, four bottles with mixers (Cherry Yuzu, Osmanthus Elderflower, Kumquat Mandarin, and Melon Matcha), as well as a limited edition stirrer and shot glass.
In it is two mooncakes, Red Bean with Tangerine Peel, and Seasalt Chocolate. There’ll also be a recipe and instruction booklet for four cocktails.

8. Four Points by Sheraton Kuala Lumpur’s Timeless Treasures
Befitting its Chinatown location, Four Points by Sheraton Kuala Lumpur’s mooncake offering features classic Chinese and Peranakan details in its packaging. More than just resembling a lantern box, the box actually comes with a LED candle to be a functional lantern.
In each box, four flavours are offered—Lady Yi’s 11 Treasures Tea, White Lotus with Yolk, Green Tea, and Red Bean.

9. Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur’s Four Seasons Mooncake 2023
Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur has both traditional and snow-skinned mooncakes up for grabs.
The baked-skin flavours are Lotus Seed Paste with Single Yolk, Pandan Paste with Single Yolk, White Lotus Paste, Puer Tangerine with Lotus Paste, and Red Bean Paste with Almond Flake.
Meanwhile, for the snow-skinned mooncakes, the flavours available are Musang King Durian, Bird’s Nest with Black Sesame and Almond, Chocolate Lotus Paste with Himalayan Salt and Egg Yolk Custard, and White Lotus Paste with Seaweed Black Sugar and Macadamia Nuts.

10. St. Regis Kuala Lumpur’s exquisite mid-autumn offerings
This Mid-Autumn Festival, St. Regis Kuala Lumpur presents a luxurious array of mooncake offerings, packaged in a fanciful blue trunk with a pink interior.
Aside from the Classic Mooncake Trunk, which are available in a set of four or eight mooncakes, there’s also a Limited Edition Swarovski Super Mooncake Trunk available for RM630.18. This trunk features just one mooncake, but it’s a 6.5-inch lotus-filled mooncake with eight yolks.
Beyond that, there’s also the RM894.33 option, which features the limited-edition trunk with a Swarovski Ballpoint Pen, while the RM1,290.56 one features the Swarovski trunk as well as a bottle of The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years.
Only one flavour of mooncake is available, the Lotus Seed Paste, which is available with a single yolk or no yolk.

11. Hilton Kuala Lumpur’s Mid-Autumn Festival 2023 Specials
This year, Hilton Kuala Lumpur has three different mooncake boxes.
Featuring a wooden vessel, The Luminous Treasure Premium Box comes in three options—Traditional Baked Mooncakes, Snow Skin Mooncakes, and Heavenly Gold Durian Snow Skin Mooncakes. Each box features four mooncakes.
These three options are also available in the Moonlight Bloom collection, packaged in a red and gold box.
The Supermoon Box, on the other hand, features a huge 1kg mooncake and two teacups. It comes as either a traditional baked mooncake or a Musang King durian snow skin mooncake.
