The sweat, the thrill, the rush of adrenaline as you reach for that final hold—bouldering has taken the Malaysian fitness scene by storm. It’s offering enthusiasts and newbies another way to challenge their bodies and minds.

For the uninitiated, bouldering is a form of rock climbing performed on small rock formations or artificial rock walls at a fairly low height without the use of ropes or harnesses, unlike traditional rock climbing.

With a surge in indoor climbing gyms offering various courses and memberships, bouldering has become an accessible and exciting sport for many.

So, where exactly can one boulder in the comfort of the indoors around Klang Valley?

We’ve done some research and found five gyms dedicated to all things bouldering, so here’s where you can challenge yourself.
