To help SMEs expand in M’sia, Lalamove offers affordable, on-demand interstate deliveries

[This is a sponsored article with Lalamove.]

There comes a time in an online business’s life when it’s ready to scale, with the intention of expanding to other states or regions to attract more customers, and grow its market presence.

A catalyst for such an opportunity is peak shopping seasons like 11.11, 12.12, or Christmas, which are usually coupled with attractive discounts for Malaysians to purchase gifts for loved ones or themselves.

To bring businesses’ products to interstate customers more easily, Lalamove is ready to take on the load through its affordable long-haul, on-demand delivery service, even on a one-off basis.

Lalamove’s long-haul deliveries can be used in fulfilling last-mile deliveries to customers’ doorsteps, or to supplement a company’s supply chain by reinforcing mid-mile deliveries.

Did you know: Mid-mile deliveries consist of the transportation of goods between two facilities, such as a warehouse that temporarily stores products received from a supplier or production centre and a second facility that ships the order to the end customer.

The service is currently available for deliveries from Klang Valley, Malacca, Penang or Johor, to anywhere within Peninsular Malaysia.

Flexible on-demand and scheduled deliveries

Long-haul deliveries can be a headache as they require advanced planning and are affected by the availability of carriers.

Not to mention, traditional services tend to tie businesses down to a contract, which can be unsustainable for those intending to ship their products interstate on a one-off basis.

To curb these pain points, Lalamove introduced a contract-free, on-demand delivery model enabling businesses to place a long-distance delivery order anytime via its app.

It allows SMEs to quickly get matched with its crowdsourced fleet of 4×4 pickup, van, and lorry drivers to carry loads between 250kg to 4,000kg.

It’s a mutually beneficial relationship, as delivery partners can earn more for each gig when they drive longer distances while fulfilling a company’s logistics needs. Simultaneously, businesses can forgo managing their own delivery fleets.

While on-demand deliveries are favourable to SMEs needing to service urgent orders, there’s also an option to pre-schedule long-haul deliveries up to 30 days in advance.

The on-demand delivery model can enable businesses to scale up or downsize their long-haul delivery volumes easily, providing them flexibility.

Affordability to stay lean

Cost-wise, Lalamove states that its interstate delivery rates are affordable. It charges a fixed base fare for each vehicle type, and fees are added on for each subsequent km.

For example, if you were to order a small 10ft lorry to deliver a load of up to 1,000kg, the base price for the first 10km will cost RM60.

Subsequently, any extra km will be charged according to the pre-determined fares. You can also choose up to 19 stops en route to the final destination.

This one-off affordable interstate delivery service contributes to an SME’s agility as it stays lean, especially when the business only needs to leverage the service for seasonal shoppers.

Easy pick-ups and drop-offs

Another element worth highlighting is that you can get Lalamove to pick up your goods directly from your location, instead of dropping off your cargo at its dedicated logistics points.

Thus, if you’re running your small business from home, you can set that as your pick-up location and simply wait for the Lalamove vehicle to arrive.

With the coupon code LALONGHAUL, first-time users will enjoy 50% off deliveries, while existing customers will get 30% off deliveries for 4×4 pickup, van, and lorries (capped at RM100).

The long-haul delivery option can be found on the home screen of Lalamove’s app which is downloadable on the App Store and Google Play Store. On-demand deliveries can also be made 24/7, subject to driver availability.

This latest plug-in by Lalamove cuts down manual delivery processes for SMEs & home sellers

[This is a sponsored article with Lalamove.]

Manual fulfilment is not easy. It can get very time-consuming especially when the number of order creations and delivery scheduling increases.

This is why Lalamove has a new plug-in to automate these processes, so business owners can better utilise their time to improve their products and business. Here are some of the things it brings to the table.

Instant order scheduling in just a few clicks

As soon as businesses receive a customer’s order, they can instantly schedule a pick-up for the product and set a drop-off point in just a few clicks within the plug-in.

If the customer urgently needs the items they bought, it is possible to schedule instant delivery too since Lalamove offers 24-hour on-demand delivery across several cities in the Klang Valley, Johor, Melaka, and Penang.

Vehicles that Lalamove have at their disposal

Not only that, the plug-in allows owners to pick and choose the delivery vehicle type ranging from the nimble motorcycle, all the way up to a large lorry.

From there, users can choose the type of vehicle based on the item they would like to send, as suggested on Lalamove’s website.

For example, if I want to send food items to customers, a motorcycle or a car would be more suitable, while something much bulkier such as a washing machine, can be delivered using a van.

Save on expenses by batching orders together

The plug-in makes consolidating orders easier too. Businesses can save on delivery expenditure, especially when sending packages to the same general area.

Compared to booking multiple delivery vehicles, senders can queue up to 19 additional locations from only RM1 for each additional stop in a single order.

To get a better estimate on how much will be spent on delivery costs, Lalamove clearly states the delivery cost of each vehicle and distance, with the cheapest starting from as low as RM5 on their website.

Businesses can get an instant quotation on delivery fees when making a delivery order on the plug-in too.

Get a bird’s eye view of deliveries

In addition to placing orders, the plug-in lets sellers keep track of deliveries while on the go as it integrates seamlessly with the Lalamove mobile app.

It’s also possible to send these real-time delivery statuses to the customers so that they know the vehicle that’s sending the package, and who’s sending it via the tracking link.

With online shopping becoming more widespread, it is not uncommon for consumers to opt for same-day delivery and real-time tracking of their purchases.

The plug-in aims to fulfil both these criteria while enabling quicker order processing, which subsequently aids in a business’s growth.

It is quite straightforward to install, and it’s compatible with WooCommerce, Shopify, or EasyStore.

All you need to do is follow the screenshots and installation instructions. Additionally, you can reach out to Lalamove for further assistance if needed.

Other than having a Lalamove account, there are no further requirements in order to use the plug-in and all the features it comes with, which is great for small businesses and home sellers.

But that’s not all, before July 31, 2022, businesses that sign up for a Lalamove business account can get RM20 in discounts for their first 3 deliveries.

On the other hand, small businesses that signed up for a Lalamove Individual account can get the same RM20 delivery discount by using the promo code “LALAWIN”.
