For the pool of us always on the lookout for unique furnitures, HipVan cuts the chase and curates great pieces, many of which are really affordable.
If you are not familiar, HipVan is an online store for great designs in furniture, home & living, kitchen & entertaining, and much more.
For those of us with a tighter wallet, both the online site and recently release mobile platform is just great to browse around. Nothing beats looking through fun designs that are brought to life through functional furnitures and decor.
Perhaps a lesser known fact is that local celebrity, Jade Seah, is one of HipVan’s early investors. Now we wonder, who is behind all of this?
Meet Danny.
Previously known for starting up Foound which was touted the ‘Foursquare of the future‘ in 2010, Danny also proceeded to join multinational company, Rocket Internet. These days, he is busy with the steady growth of HipVan alongside their recent round of seed funding.
Today, Danny shares the apps that are part of his lifestyle as the co-founder of HipVan.

“I’ll get the shameless plug out of the way and just say that we’re really excited to launch our iPhone application here in Singapore! For work and otherwise, I check it throughout the day for the new brands and products we feature daily.”
2. Monocle 24
“Monocle 24 is an app by Monocle which features podcasts of news and in-depth analysis from around the world. It’s a great way to catch up on current affairs especially when I am on the go.”
3. Play.fm
“If you are a fan of electronic music, this is a real treat! Play.fm features DJ playlists from around the world and is perfect both as a travelling companion and for house parties. Most of their playlists are uninterrupted and over 60 mins long.”
4. Uber
“A great app for getting around town in style!”
5. Assorted social media apps
“I use these to stay in touch with my friends and also to interact with our customers!”
